Rachel Staley, Program Manager

Rachel Staley is BASIC’s Program Manager based in their London office. Since 2011, Rachel has managed the operations of the office and assisted in developing programs on non-proliferation and disarmament in the Middle East. She has also supported the coordination of the Trident Commission and BASIC’s engagement in the United Kingdom’s Trident renewal debate and is currently coordinating BASIC’s Next Generation project.

From her experience working in the charity and non-profit sector, Rachel has developed a specific interest in strategic planning, organizational development, and fundraising. Rachel has considerable experience using social media, digital communications, and information systems to facilitate and enhance organizational impact.

Rachel is currently on the board of trustees for Future Foreign Policy and on the steering committee of the WMD Awareness Programme. Rachel holds an MA with Distinction in Non-Proliferation and International Security from King’s College London and a BA with Honours in International Affairs and Anthropology from Northeastern University. She is currently pursuing a Graduate Diploma in Management through the London School of Economics.
