Dr. Dominick Jenkins, Policy Consultant
Dominick Jenkins is policy consultant to BASIC. He is completing his second book, Liberal Apocalypse, a historical critique of the British and American liberal elite response to crises. He previously ran the Greenpeace UK campaign against Trident replacement and worked with Greenpeace International to develop a future campaign on climate change, oil and war. At Friends of the Earth he worked on nuclear reprocessing at Sellafield. His first book The Final Frontier: America, Science and Terror, (Verso, 2003), uses a history of the US chemical weapon and manned bomber to re-examine the origins of current US foreign/military policy. He has a doctorate in philosophy from the University of Toronto and an honours degree in mathematics and philosophy from Trinity College, Dublin.
