Inderjeet Parmar is head of the Dept of Politics, University of Manchester. He was treasurer of the British International Studies Association and is co-convenor of its working group on US foreign policy. He has been a visiting fellow at Princeton University and visiting scholar at St John's College, Oxford. He co-edits (with John Dumbrell) the Routledge Studies in US Foreign Policy series. He is the author of books on Anglo-American relations and numerous articles on the role of think tanks and philanthropy in the making of US foreign policy. He is writing Foundations of the American Century: Carnegie, Ford and Rockefeller Foundations in US Foreign Affairs, 1920–2005 (forthcoming) and is contracted to write Presidents and Prime Ministers at War: From Korea to Iraq, 1950–2003.
