1999 NATO Summit:
Madrid, 8-9 July 1997

BASIC and its NETS colleagues attended the NATO Summit, providing on-the-spot updates and analysis of events as they transpired. The Alliance's decision to invite the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland to join will have profound repercussions for European security.
